Copenhagen visit

I visited Copenhagen in-between the riots and went round the agencies there. I got a very good response and hope to get some more work from there very soon.

Spring bulbs

Last week we took bulbs around all the Amsterdam agencies as presents for The Collective. It’s been three long days, but thanks to the efforts of Noah and Daniel the desks of the Dutch advertising industry are in full bloom.

Old ad magazines

We have a pile of old ad magazines in the office if someone would like to read them. We subscribe to Germany, Belgium, England and Dutch ad mags. Also, if you’d like to come by and read them as they come in then you’re most welcome.

Monthly drinks

We’ve missed a few months but we’re on now for Friday 30th March – 5.30pm in the office.

Collective cartoon

Due to an unfortunate incident involving a beer bottle and the pavement, Janneke our cartoonist is out of action. You’ll have to wait until next week for the next installment of The Internationalists.

Vacancy at The Collective

Supplementary to the newsletter, we’re also looking for another agent to come and work at The Collective.

It's an interesting and social job going round agencies, networking, meeting freelancers, handling jobs, etc. The ideal person would be an ex-traffic manager or agency creative recruiter. Dutch-speaking – Amsterdam-based. If someone springs to mind please get in touch with info@thecollective-europe.com

German caller
I’m happy to welcome a new member of staff. Max Junghanns. He will be working
part time calling German advertising agencies to promote the collective.

Xmas dinner
Keep this date free: 14th December. It will be the collective xmas dinner in
Amsterdam. The Waag this year.

Mass-emailer - new members
A
mass-email went out last week promoting our new members.

Timesheets
All invoices must also include corresponding timesheet entries on them, including date worked. It’s not enough just to put the start and end dates. It’s very confusing
otherwise to add up totals.

Collective drinks
Only two people came to the last drinks. A failure. You obviously need more incentive. The next night will be a poker tournament. Details to follow.

Launch party
If you’re in
Amsterdam on Thursday 9th November, come to the Melkweg. It’s the launch of my new album Long Live Love. All collective members are entitled to free guestlist, but it would be great if you could bring friends, loved ones, strangers from the street, as we had to hire the venue and want to at least break even. www.myspace.com/thejackstaffordfoundation If you want to be on the list please forward this email to sanna@therecordcompany.net with your name in the body.

New members
